Unions Vote Republican as Satan Throws his First Snowball
Trickle-up unemployment is worse than trickle-down economics.
Hell will be freezing over in 2024 as union members, who have reliably honeyed into the Democrat Party, will be looking for genuine economic growth and job security going forward. Our Democrat run government is about to reap the returns of a failed national electric vehicle program known as the Inflation Reduction Act. Auto makers are not seeing a demand for cars that don’t perform to expectations. Now the EV market is shrinking, or “normalizing”. Additionally, there is no applause for the high prices of goods and services as Joe Biden thought. Wages in small businesses are stagnant and personal credit usage is climbing beyond comfortable levels. Mortgage rates (why beat a dead horse)… Economic growth is not coming. There is an observation in the American economic system, and that is when American industry is established and thriving, so do unions. However, America is far from thriving.
What is the cure?
A shift needs to happen in the paradigm between industry and unions. The traditional adverse relationship between union and industry leadership seen in the ’50s and 60’s needs to cease. Instead, industry should embrace union membership as stakeholders. Industry should view unions as the supplier of an educated and qualified workforce from which industry draws its human capital. Unions should see industry as an asset to be used for wealth, and actively participate in finding markets where industry can reap profit. Industries are built by risk-takers, not government policy, and unions should aid in identifying possible markets. That means unions should encourage the government to deregulate and lower taxes to free up capital for investment. Until it does, less industry will equal less work, which equals fewer union participants.
When the government inhibits industry through policy it opposes a thriving union work force. Because the Democrat run government will not change, but by electoral force, union membership will be driven to vote Republican. People need money and economic growth. The shift in the paradigm will be transformative.
